LASIK at EYE-Q Vision Care
EYE-Q provides the latest technology available for our patients including a choice of vision correcting lasers. Our LASIK Team, Dr. Michael Walker, Dr. Alan Nerenberg, and Dr. Sam Hinton will perform comprehensive pre-operative examinations to determine which laser will provide the opportunity for the best possible outcome for the patient. EYE-Q was the first to introduce All-Laser LASIK to the Valley in 2002.

IntraLase All-Laser TechnologyThe degree of accuracy achieved by the IntraLase laser is unprecedented in flap-creation technology. The IntraLase Method™ uses tiny pulses of laser light, one-quadrillionth of a second each, that pass harmlessly through the outer portion of your cornea to create a uniform layer of microscopic bubbles just beneath the surface of your eye. The exact dimensions of this layer of bubbles are determined by your doctor based on what’s best for your eye. The IntraLase procedure is computer-controlled for maximum precision, something that is not possible with a hand-held (microkeratome) blade. The flap-creation procedure takes about 30 seconds. When it’s time for LASIK, your doctor will easily separate the layer of tissue where these bubbles were created and fold it back, thus creating your corneal flap. Once LASIK is complete, the flap created using the IntraLase Laser is uniquely able to fold and “lock” back into place, thus allowing the tissue to heal rapidly. Advanced IntraLase technology gives your doctor the highest degree of surgical control for the safest and most effective procedure available. |

Allegretto Wave Excimer LaserEYE-Q Laser Center is committed to offering our patients the safest and most advanced technology available to achieve the best possible outcomes. It is for this reason that we have added the Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser with PerfectPulse Technology to our laser center. The Allegretto Wave Excimer Laser System, developed by Wavelight Laser Technologies, is the world's only system to incorporate wavefront principles into its standard platform. With a repetition rate of 400 pulses per second, Wavelight has the fastest lasers in the US market today. PerfectPulse Technology features a unique approach to cornea sculpting, automatically delivering pulsations according to each eye's individual refractive error and corneal curvature. This provides large optical zones that contribute to high-quality vision, especially at night when the pupil enlarges. The Allegreto Wave Excimer Laser system was granted final FDA approval in 2003. It is the only laser system that has received approvals for nearsightedness and farsightedness with astigmatism and clearance for the widest treatment range. |
