Richard L. Moors, M.D.
Dr. Richard Moors provides general ophthalmic services and specializes in cataracts having performed over 10,000 surgeries. He was also one of the first surgeons in the Central Valley to offer the new Alcon ReSTOR multifocal intraocular lens.
Dr. Moors is originally from the state of Washington. He began his career by earning his medical degree from the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington. Following his internship at Los Angeles County of U.S.C. Medical Center he served three years as a flight surgeon in the United States Navy. He returned to Los Angeles County U.S.C. Medical Center for specialty training in ophthalmology.
Dr. Moors is a board-certified ophthalmologist and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He was a leading clinical investigator for the STARR surgical foldable intraocular lens. Dr. Moors is one of seven partners at EYE-Q.
In his free time, Dr. Moors enjoys aerobatic stunt flying, skiing and scuba diving.
